Abundant Snow Cover

Since the blizzard last week that impacted much of North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota temperatures have generally been below average.  This week another reinforcement of the Arctic Air will be moving in that will keep not only the upper Midwest, but much of the eastern 2/3rds of the United States colder than average.  With this additional surge of arctic air will also come several snow chances, although at the moment it appears that the highest totals will be south of our area with many of these up coming events.  These additional snows to our south will add to the breadth of the snow cover in the region which increases the difficulty in warmer air moving into the northern plains, meaning, get use to the cold.
