Catching Up

The latest figures from National Agricultural Statistics Service have progress in North Dakota near average for most crops as of Monday, yet well behind where most were last year. Of course April 2015 was a great month for early planting, but most of you likely remember that things changed rapidly in early May last year with abundant rain as the month started, and the rest of May continued to make planting difficult. So although technically plant 16 may be a bit behind, I have a feeling by this weekend with the great weather we are having, this season will likely trend well ahead of average.
