I’m sure most of you have noticed the change in the weather pattern in recent weeks. I’m not talking about the seasonal change that comes every year that it is cooler, but instead the frequency of precipitation. We seem to have a disturbance or two each week. Each spot gets differing amounts of rain and some areas get missed. In turn, you may not have even noticed that a disturbance with rain moved through the region. This change in the frequency of rain fall looks to be continuing into the next week or two. Plus, with the lower sun angle this time of year, less sunny days all will equal lesser amounts of evaporation. This will mean slower drying times during harvest.
