The snow in the area today is associated with an Alberta Clipper that will not only bring moisture, but also some cold air. In fact, the coldest air since early January is expected the next couple of mornings. Yet the cold air will only last a couple of days and by this weekend above average temperatures are expected once again. With the warm up, the mild dry pattern the region has been experiencing for the past 3 week will be back. After a very quick snow build up this winter, especially in central and western North Dakota, the pattern has turned very quiet and with the exception of the snow today, the rest of the week looks mostly dry.
