The amount of moisture this week looks very light, but the cold will be substantial for the time of year. Temperatures the past couple of days have remained below freezing in many locations, a good 25 degrees below average. The cold will gradually move to our east and southeast over the next few days, but temperatures are expected to remain below average through Friday and finally at least near average on Saturday. This will mean another week with little or no field work expected. Next week looks better, then again, it would be hard to be worse, with temperatures expected to be at least around average, or perhaps above. Yes, like you, I’ll believe it when I see it.
