The rain from yesterday was associated with an area of low pressure and a trailing cold front. Meaning, that colder air will be with us for the next few days. Granted, yesterday, several locations only recorded a high in the 60s mainly because of the low clouds and rain, but even in western North Dakota that recorded quite a bit of sunshine, the high temperatures were only in the low to middle 70s. Like last week, we will start off cool and gradually warm up with high temperatures expected to jump into the 80s this weekend, if the clouds are too dominate. Yes, 70s are comfortable, but warmer weather is needed for crops to reach their potential.
