February to March

When you live in this region you get use to abrupt changes from warm to cold and then back again.  The warm February does sometime continue into a warm March and April, but considering that patterns tend to change every few weeks, more often than not, a warm late winter, translates into a cooler spring.   Both March and April the average amount of rain and melted snow is around 1” or a little bit more, meaning that it is fairly easy to recorded wet conditions just because of one or two strong storm systems that happen to pass through.  Our current cold and potential additional moisture make me continue to believe this spring will be cooler and wetter than last year.
