You may have missed them, but there were a few snow flakes in the air on Halloween afternoon in Fargo. So yes, technically that was a trace of snow for the month of October, but yet, it was the first October since 2016 that no measurable snow was recorded in Fargo. That statistic is also valid in many other locations in the region as well. Last year you may recall that 7.9 inches of snow fell in October, which was the second highest total on record. I was asked a lot if we would get another October snow storm and I routinely said ask me in November. That was my way of giving up on October snow predictions. Thankfully, it was a more typical October this year.
