Today is the average date of the last below zero reading in Fargo. Western North Dakota has past that date in most areas and in northern that average last date will generally be in the next 7 days. Last year you may or may not remember that some areas recorded a very late last negative when temperatures dropped below zero in early April. Grand Forks was below zero on April 4, 2020 and in Fargo, although it stayed above zero, the low up near Prosper dropped to 8 degrees below zero. That colder than average weather continued through the early part of May, although, there was a brief break toward the end of April. Hopefully 2021 is warmer.
