Today is the beginning of May of course. It may surprise you that April finished close to average for temperatures. Most of the NDAWN weather stations recorded temperatures from two degrees below to 1 degree above average for the month. Granted, a warmer than average April is almost always welcomed, but being close to average is way better than what we experienced last year. Most of North Dakota recorded temperatures around 10 degrees below average in April 2018. The one similarity from this year to last year was snow and precipitation. Both years had above average rainfall and snowfall across most of the region.
