May. Was it wet or dry? Most of you would yell out wet. The interesting thing is, probably 50 to 60 percent of the region had average or below average rainfall until…. You guessed it, Memorial Day. Memorial Day recorded some significant rain for many parts of eastern North Dakota into Northwestern Minnesota. So wet that the rainfall on Monday pushed May into the very wet category for many locations. Of course, that is not unusual for our climate as a single thunderstorm or a single complex of thunderstorms like what happened on Monday is often the difference between wet or dry in this area. The past 2 months have experienced several big rain days.
