Rainfall this month has been widespread and near or above average to this point across much of the area. There are still dry areas, even in wet summers there is always the spot that gets missed, but at the moment, there are more spots that are a bit too wet than a bit too dry. The past couple of days the Sun has helped dry out some of the areas that had excessive rains in the past week. Today may be the last day when many locations outside of western North Dakota are dry as more thunderstorm possibilities exist in the next 24 hours, plus again this weekend. As I keep mentioning, this year’s weather patterns are not expected to be what we experienced last year.
