Much of December was snow free, then we had a couple of storms over the holiday season that turned a dry month into a wet month. We have now gone several days again without snow and it appears we may go another week with little or no snowfall. With average snowfall in the 5 to 10 inch range each month, it only takes one storm to get you to average or even above average snow in our climate. Therefore, even with this month repeating December for lack of snowfall early on, the month is still a long ways from being over and therefore a lot can change in the next few weeks. The positives of the lack of snow is it makes for easier travel, plus fresh snow makes for colder weather than old snow.
