Yesterday at one time, the temperature ranged from nearly 70° to 12° across North Dakota. We all know today that the cold air won the battle and cold will probably dominate the region for the next week, plus. A strong low pressure center helped develop the strong wind that is still with us today, but for most locations it was strong yesterday or last night. This storm is perhaps the first of many such systems that will pass through the upper Midwest in the next 10-14 days as a pattern change will allow the storms that have been missing us to our north, to move through the region later this week and beyond. Next threat at the moment looks to be Friday.
