Two storms will be moving out of the Rocky Mountains and impacting the region this week. The first one has is the rain and clouds in the area since yesterday, and the second one will move through the upper Midwest on Thursday and Friday. With clouds and rain expected off and on this week, temperatures will be much cooler than the past 10 days. In fact, the second storm is expected to pull in very chilly air into the region Friday through the weekend. Cold enough that frost will be a possibility Friday through the weekend if the sky is clear. Even Thursday may be cool enough in western ND for some frost potential. With an average frost date between May 8 and May 15 having a frost this time of year is certainly not unusual, but with an early start to planting this year, it has the potential to have an impact.
