Warmer is Coming

The cooler weather these past couple of days will slowing fade into warmer weather in the upcoming several days.  In fact, some areas in western North Dakota will probably record maximums near or even a bit above 80 degrees on Sunday.  Although a slight cooling trend will commence early to the middle of next week, beyond that it appears a ridge of high pressure is expected to develop over the northern plains as we approach the end of September.  This will mean the locations that did not experience any crop damage from yesterday or this morning, will catch a last push of heating units before true autumn weather settles into the region, plus, that period looks dry with low relative humidity to help with the drying process as well.
