Almost all of North Dakota and the northern one-half of Minnesota will have a white Christmas this year. In fact, many of us will record more snow on Christmas day and the day after as two disturbances make their way through the upper-Midwest this weekend. White Christmas’ are almost a guarantee in far Northeastern North Dakota and across the far northern part of Minnesota. As you move south the percentage drops off. In Fargo it’s about 85% probability of at least 1” of snow on the ground on Christmas morning. Meaning, once or twice a decade there isn’t snow. Although most of those brown Christmas’ have a trace being reported.
