A storm system brought thunderstorms is some isolated severe weather to the NDAWN mesonet from Friday night through Saturday evening. On Sunday the cool pool of cold air aloft in combination with the strong June sun, brought some thunderstorms that mainly impacted the northern Red River Valley of North Dakota into northwestern Minnesota. Three day rain totals are presented below.

A high percentage of the North Dakota Agricultural Weather Network Stations (NDAWN) recorded near or under 0.50 inches from the event. The big exception was a line from central into northeastern North Dakota with the Garrison station recording far more than any other site with 3.12 inches being measured. The radar image from early Saturday morning (1:30 AM through 7:00 AM) shows that location being in the core of the band and hit with several thunderstorms during that time frame.
