With Memorial Day not on a set date, at least since 1971 when it was changed to the last Monday in May, it is harder to easily calculate weather statistics. I’m sure I’m not the only one that tends to remember all the chilly or cold Memorial Days. When you live as far north as we do, May, even the end of May tends to experience a lot of strong pushes of colder air from Canada. Even though we are only less than 1 month from the summer solstice, statistically it is more likely to have a warm pleasant Labor Day, two months after the summer solstice, than it is for us to have a warm Memorial Day. This year, overall this day looks pretty nice.
