After the weekend storm, it got cold, temperatures rose up a bit yesterday and will be trending colder again, but next week we may again have a mild couple of days, then, no surprise we’ll probably get colder again. Another way of putting this is the pattern right now continues to be not all that cold. I have been and still feel this winter will be colder than average or at least near the average. To accomplish that we would need to be more consistent with the cold. The northern plains have been mostly above average since March and considering how cold the rest of the northern hemisphere has been in the past month, I still feel more consistent cold is coming.
