No growing season is perfect.  Most have periods where it is both too wet and too dry.  In our climate there is always stretches where it is too cool and right now we are in a too cool period.  Even though temperatures are certainly better than where we were a week ago, temperatures are still below average and we could use a bit warmer weather for some of the crops to catch up.  Temperatures are expected to remain below average through the rest of this month, so we have at least another week of coolish weather.  The heat will come, even in the coolest of summer we have warm stretches, so as is often the case around here, patience with the weather is needed.
