There has been much talk in social media about the heat wave that is coming for the Midwest. Of course, that didn’t exactly happen, but it does appear that it may happen gradually as we go through this week. North Dakota on the other hand seems to be a bit too far north for what I would describe as a heat wave. It’s summer and we will record highs in the 80s, but that is typical summer weather. If that higher temperatures to our south and southeast get this far north, it is going to be next week, not this week. Because we will be on the northern periphery of that bubble of heat we will likely have occasional round of thunderstorms, sometimes referred to as ridge runners.
