June is a big month for spraying. This is a reminder that The North Dakota Agricultural Weather Service usually referenced as NDAWN has an APP that warns you when inversions are in place. Inversions are when the air above the ground is warmer than the air near the ground. The cooler air near the ground is also, dense air, that can make for particles coming out of the sprayers spread out horizontally causing a drifting of the chemicals that may harm the plants in the nearby field. To know when an inversion is present the NDAWN inversion app will send you an alert to notify you. Plus the app has wind speed and direction to help you spray safely as well.
